Quest Diagnostics Woodland Hills

Lewis Ross Associates provided complete MEP engineering for Quest Diagnostics Auto Chemistry laboratory expansion. The project consisted of 12 automated analyzers, all supplied with purified water, and discharging to laboratory waste. The project was challenging due to its location in an existing building on the second floor. The HVAC was augmented with new air handlers to address waste heat from the analyzers. Lab sample analyzers, Laboratory waste, Purified water, UPS backup for uninterrupted operation, Connection to generator for extended power outages.

Kaiser Permanente, Electronics Place

Lewis Ross has provided years of design, consulting, and advisement for the Kaiser Permanente, Electronics Place campus. Lewis Ross has provided MEP engineering for improvements to the facilities such as:

• Clean rooms

• Compressed air system upgrades

• UPS (Uninterruptible Power Source) additions and upgrades

• Dust collection systems

These improvements have been instrumental in enabling Kaiser Permanente to continue offering top-notch care to their patients.

Kaiser Permanente, North Hollywood

LRA is proud to be part of ongoing improvements at Kaiser Permanente’s North Hollywood campus. We have provided design and engineering services for:

• Central UPS - 500kVA central uninterruptible power system. The project involved intercept of incoming generator feed, connection to existing normal power bus duct to provide full UPS, emergency backup of entire building. Work was carefully planned and phased to minimize temp power (required for critical temperature-controlled facilities).

• Laboratory Expansions - Upgrade and replacement of automated sample processing lines, laboratory waste, DOAS for laboratories.

• IT Upgrades - Building-wide upgrades to cabling, tel/data rooms, server room cooling, local UPS.

• Specimen Processing - Upgrade and replacement of automated specimen processing line.

• Survey & Assessment - Campus-wide MEP survey and narrative describing the existing HVAC, electrical distribution, and laboratory piping systems with recommendations.
