Los Angeles County Arboretum

We are proud to have been a part of the ongoing improvements at the Los Angeles County Arboretum. Recent work included a large renovated restroom building to serve the grounds. As with many parks and recreational facilities, the great distances that must be traversed by electrical and plumbing facilities presented challenges. Lewis Ross Associates met and overcame the challenge, thanks to extensive experience in similar widespread, campus layouts, all while maintaining the project budget. Services extended through the construction phase to project completion. HVAC and Plumbing scope included water heating, domestic water/waste/vent, and book-form specifications.

Sierra Madre Park & Recreation Center

10,000 square foot recreation center with sports courts and activity rooms. The recreational center renovation for the City of Sierra Madre brought upgrades to the community building, including air conditioning the previously unconditioned space, electric vehicle chargers, ADA restroom upgrades, and a host of audio/video capabilities for meetings and public gatherings.

Caltech Ledbetter Laboratory

Interior renovations for microbiology laboratory. Improvements included laboratory gas distribution, workbench connections, and mechanical reconfiguration for new equipment layout.

Jewish Family Service

The Jewish Family Service, Gunther-Hirsh Family Center, Los Angeles a low-rise ground-up construction project is the organization’s Los Angeles headquarters with administrative offices, multi-purpose rooms, activity rooms, and support areas to serve Los Angeles families. Concrete and steel construction.

Quest Diagnostics Auto Chem Lab

Lewis Ross Associates provided complete MEP engineering for Quest Diagnostics Auto Chemistry laboratory expansion. The project consisted of 12 automated analyzers, all supplied with purified water, and discharging to laboratory waste. The project was challenging due to its location in an existing building on the second floor. The HVAC was augmented with new air handlers to address waste heat from the analyzers.
